Welcome to Osaka Japanese Cuisine in Cordova, our original location, open since 2004. This is where Osaka started, and over two decades later it remains the heart of everything we do. Cordova is also the only Osaka location where you can experience Shabu Shabu, the Japanese hot pot tradition that has become a signature of this restaurant and a reason guests drive from across the Mid-South to visit. Alongside Shabu Shabu, our full conveyor belt sushi bar gives you another way to explore the menu entirely at your own pace.
Shabu Shabu is a Japanese hot pot tradition, and Osaka Cordova is the only place in the Memphis area where you can experience it. The concept is simple and deeply satisfying: a pot of flavorful broth is set before you, and you cook your own thinly sliced meats, seafood, and vegetables directly in the pot, dipping each piece into house-made sauces as you go. Choose from broths including Thai, Hot and Spicy, Korean Kimchi, and Japanese Miso. It is a slower, more communal way to eat, interactive in a different way than most restaurant experiences, and one of the most social dining formats you will find anywhere in the Mid-South.
